Privacy Policy

Atgenomix SeqsLab (Atgenomix Incorporated, a cloud-native biomedical IT platform. Hereinafter referred to as SeqsLab) makes your security and privacy top priorities. This Privacy Policy applies to all products, services, websites, and platforms provided by Atgenomix Incorporated, collectively referred to as SeqsLab services. In addition, if it is necessary to provide a detailed explanation of our privacy practices, we will post an additional privacy notice explaining how personal information is handled by specific services.

To provide quality and better service, we will collect the following types of information:

  • Information you provide – when you apply for a “SeqsLab Organization Account” and SeqsLab services that require registration, we will ask you to provide personal information (such as organization name, account email, name, phone number) for subscription services, and we will obtain your consent and ask you to provide payment account information such as credit cards. Transactions are conducted in a secure encrypted form, and we do not store any payment account information such as credit cards.  

  • Log information – When you use SeqsLab services, the services automatically record information sent by your browser or client programs when you visit the web apps. Service logs may contain information such as your web app request and response, Internet Protocol address, client agent, date, and time the request was transmitted, and one or more cookies that identify your browser session and login account. 

  • Other Information — Biomedical and genome sequencing data that has been de-identified and cannot identify personal data. 

 
The specific purposes for which SeqsLab assists you in collecting, processing, and using personal data include:

  • Customer management and services.

  • Subject protection 

  • Analysis of biomedical operations 

  • Genomic testing 

  • Surveys, statistics, and research 

  • Information (Communications) and Database Management

 
Extra-purpose Use 

​

  • If the information is used in a manner different from the original purpose, we will obtain your consent before using it. 

  • You may refuse to provide any confidential sensitive information to SeqsLab services, but we may not be able to serve you as such.

 
Information Retention and Deletion

​

  • During the term of the bilateral contract or service agreement, you can export customer information for retention and backup, and SeqsLab also provides you with a mechanism to automatically back up the database.  

  • You can use SeqsLab to delete your data. If you remove the application or your subscription account is no longer paid, your data will be automatically deleted.

 
Information Sharing

Generally, SeqsLab will not share all your information with external parties, provided that: 

  • If the sharing of information is part of a mutual agreement or your written consent has been obtained. 

  • To comply with all applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or legally binding government requests. 

  • Court order or other lawful administrative agency or unit requests. 

  • To investigate, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues, and to protect the rights, property, or safety of SeqsLab, its users, or the public. 

  • If Atgenomix Incorporated is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets in any way, we will ensure that you are notified by email before your information is transferred or your rights and obligations are changed.

 
Information Security

  • We will take appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of data, including internal review of data collection, storage, processing practices, and security measures, as well as physical security measures to prevent unauthorized access to the SeqsLab services where we store personal information. 

  • We only allow the company employees to maintain the system and access data under your authorization. 

  • The transmission of information to the web apps, services and the database are protected by SSL/TLS encryption, and the encryption keys are protected by HSMs that comply with FIPS 140-2 Level 2 and Level 3 security levels.  

  • We promise that SeqsLab meets current technological standards (including but not limited to transaction transmission encryption, multi-factor authentication) and is certified by a third-party verification agency for the international information security management system ISO27001. If customers find any errors or omissions in the services, please notify us immediately. 

  • SeqsLab provides cloud and application security logs for you to monitor data access activities, and the information presented in the logs will not include confidential and sensitive personal information. 

  • SeqsLab provides a mechanism for restoring your database to ensure that accidental data corruption can be recovered to a specific point in time.

Assistance to Data Controllers

  • Rights of the parties 

    SeqsLab can assist you in exercising your rights as a data subject, including the right to access, correct, supplement, restrict processing, delete, and upload/import data. 

  • If you have any complaints, concerns, or other issues related to data protection or security incidents, you can contact us at support@atgenomix.com or the customer service team to report the incident. We will investigate and take appropriate measures to resolve the issue in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

 
Sub-processing (Sub-contracting)

We do not engage in sub-contracting in the processing of information unless it is necessary as specified in the bilateral contract or service agreement. In such cases, we will make the following requirements to ensure data security of the subcontractors: 

  • Ensure that contractors access information only to the extent necessary and comply with confidentiality obligations through written contracts. 

  • The contractor has been strictly screened by the company and has a suitable privacy protection mechanism and professional capabilities.

 
Changes to this Privacy Policy

  • This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. However, we will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your consent, and any changes are likely to be minor. In any case, we will post all changes to this Privacy Policy on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide more prominent notice.
